many voices forum.

what is a ‘many voices forum’ ?

Have you ever been to a forum and all the panel topics are pre-determined? Speakers already chosen? Sometimes you’re pleasantly surprised and other times all you can think was ‘well that was a waste of time’.

Are you suffering from panel fatigue? The same issues talked about by the same people?

A Many Voices Forum is less of a conference and more like a conversation. Many Voices is about capturing ideas from the many voices and many interests within a single sector. We’re looking for the yarns, within the yarn that is Indigenous business.

what drives us?

The goal with Many Voices is about being human-centric and action-oriented. Rather than us dictate what the topics will be, we ask you to set the scene.

How can we engage more deeply? How can we be participant driven?

What can we do to take real action?

conference:conversation

Indigenous business is not an industry sector in the traditional sense.

We are joined together by our cultural identity. Indigenous businesses cover all industries, all types, across all regions.

Within our sector we have special interests – for example, mumpreneurs, greypreneurs, women, mining, retail, tourism, arts, LGBTQI, youth, education, etc.

The Many Voices Forum will be devoted to creating a space for mobs to have yarns within the yarn.

We have identified a number of potential Special Interest Groups (SIG) and invite others to submit their ideas.

We will ask for submissions, and the Events team will collate and schedule all the conversations.

From the 1st October forum attendees will be able to see what yarns there are and will be able to book in.
