building a better world projects

This program area focuses on providing education and training on social and cultural topics that have a direct impact on a business’s best practice and marketability for the future.

Our history in creating and delivering building a better world programs include:

The Project

Working with the Department of State Development and Infrastructure (DSD) , IM developed the “ESG – Where are we?” Online self assessment tool. This project began in the second half of 2023, with the tool and accompanying content launching in May of 2024. This tool was designed to educate business owners on what exactly ESG is and its importance in Queensland which lead into a self assessment tool for users to complete. Upon answering all questions, users were given an ESG rating and suggested actions to improve said rating. Throughout the design of this tool we placed education of the subject matter as a primary point of focus. In initial research of ESG trends in QLD and nationwide, it was identified that there is a significant gap in understanding ESG as a concept and how it actually may affect a business and its practices. Through consultation with the DSD team we highlighted that it was important to provide education on the 3 pillars of ESG, as well as to provide participants of the tool with achievable actions and goals.
